Account Verification Process - Yourgi Pro

Yourgi verifies new Pros through a quick process that includes a one-time code (OTP), zip code, and age confirmation to ensure safety, accuracy, and trust across the platform.

What does the platform do to verify the identity of a new Pro (email and phone number verification)? 

Yourgi takes Yourgi Pro verification seriously to keep our pet parents and pets safe. When a new customer signs up, we use a quick verification process:    

  1. One-Time Code (OTP) Verification  
    1. Customers enter either their email or mobile number.
    2.  A 5-digit OTP is sent to the contact method they provided.
    3. They must enter the code to confirm their account.  
  2. Zip Code Confirmation  
    1. Once verified, the platform prompts the customer to enter their zip code.  
    2. This ensures they’re within an active service market.  
  3. Age Confirmation
    1. Customers are asked to confirm they meet the minimum age requirement to use the platform.    
  4. Next Steps
    1. After completing these steps, Yourgi Pros can finish setting up their account.
